Two bulldog pups found abandoned in cardboard box

A pair of French bulldog puppies have been rescued after being found in a cardboard box in Pontypool Park .

The RSPCA says the two male pups were found - with many of their bones visible - by a member of the public walking his own dogs in Pontypool on Saturday 12th November.

The two male pups were found - with many of their bones visible - by a member of the public walking his own dogs in Pontypool, who then contacted the RSPCA.

The animal charity says the pups were very underweight and have skin problems and were "exceptionally frightened".

Neither dog was microchipped, and RSPCA Cymru is eager for members of the public to come forward with any information detailing how they may have been dumped in this condition.

RSPCA inspector Simon Evans said: “These poor puppies were absolutely terrified, and it beggars belief that someone would dump them in such a sorry state - treating them like rubbish in a cardboard box."

Anyone with information is asked to call The RSPCA inspectorate information line on 0300 123 8018.
