Porthcawl RNLI Lifeboat station is launching a new website which shows a live view of their station.

During storms it will catch the dramatic scenes of waves crashing over the breakwater.

It also features real time wind speed and direction, rainfall temperature and the tide times and tide height for that day.

In recent years our breakwater has become a visual attraction during storms, professional and amateur photographers together with sightseers want to witness and record nature’s power. Waves higher than our lighthouse have become familiar scenes in the media and on regional and national television news and weather bulletins. With our new web based facilities it will be possible for web users around the world to watch the waves crashing skywards safely.
