Family pay tribute to cyclist killed on A48

The family of a 26-year-old cyclist, who died when he was hit off his bike on the A48, have paid tribute to him.

Jack Berry, from Grangetown in Cardiff, died on Saturday when a car hit a group of three cyclists in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Jack’s family said in a statement:

He died, just as he lived his whole life, with a smile on his face and doing the things he loved with the people he loved.

Jack was a loving husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson and friend of so many people... he will be sorely missed.

South Wales Police are continuing to investigate the collision, which happened at around 7.20am, when a white Skoda Octavia collided with a group of three cyclists on the A48 between the Cowbridge by-pass and Pentre Meyrick.

A 36-year-old local man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released under investigation.
