A husky taking a dip in the sea at Barry Island on Saturday had to be rescued after getting into difficulties.
The dog's owners alerted Coastguard that their dog was in distress and couldn't swim to shore.
In a dramatic rescue the Barry Dock lifeboat was launched to help the husky, who was swimming in deep water.
The volunteers encouraged the dog to swim toward the shore using a smaller boarding boat.
They the encouraged the dog back up the steep rock face to be reunited with its much relieved owners.
