Two Welsh resignations from shadow team, 10 Welsh MPs in Labour Brexit revolt

Welsh Labour supplied 10 of the 75 rebels who backed staying in the European Economic area after Brexit. They included Tonia Antoniazzi and Anna McMorrin who resigned as parliamentary private secretaries or aides to shadow ministers.

The full list of Welsh rebels was as follows:

  • Geraint Davies, Swansea West
  • Stephen Doughty, Cardiff South & Penarth
  • Stephen Kinnock, Aberavon
  • Anna McMorrin, Cardiff North
  • Madeleine Moon, Bridgend
  • Albert Owen, Ynys Mon
  • Owen Smith, Pontypridd
  • Jo Stevens, Cardiff Central
