What's occurring? TV comedy Gavin & Stacey inspires Australian cricket star to join Glamorgan

Australian international Usman Khawaja has taken the County Championship by storm, smashing Glamorgan records.

Until recently his only knowledge of Wales was one very well known TV show...Gavin and Stacey.

Usman is the first Muslim to represent Australia in cricket. He has gone on to make 33 test appearances, scoring over 2 thousand runs.

This success brought him to attention of Glamorgan.

An opportunity he simply could not turn down, particularly because his wife loved Gavin & Stacey.

ITV News met up with Usman to see how he's settling in, and take him for a trip to Barry Island.
