Sport Wales are launching a £5 million fund to encourage people to live healthy and active lives.
It will go towards schools, clubs, and workplaces.
The Healthy and Active Fund aims to support people to build physical activity into their lives and improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
The first phase investment of £5m will be over three years.
It will focus on improving physical activity levels, encouraging solutions to take advantage of collaboration, existing community assets such as clubs, schools and workplaces, and new technology.
Chair of Sport Wales', Lawrence Conway, says fun and enjoyment in being active was 'a consistent message in people's experience of sporting activity.''
Health Secretary, Vaughan Gething, hopes the fund will achieve that.
Public Health Wales say people in communities are living in 'poor health' as a result of conditions such as cancer, heart disease, and bone and joint problems.
The Healthy and Active Fund is a partnership between Welsh Government, Sport Wales and Public Health Wales.
