Three appear in court accused of murdering convicted child killer

Three men have appeared in court charged with murder, after the body of a convicted child killer was discovered in New Tredegar on Saturday.

David Gaut, who was jailed for 33 years for killing a 17-month old-boy in 1985, was found dead at an address in Long Row in the Elliots Town area of New Tredegar.

The three men, all dressed in grey t-shirts, spoken only to confirm their names, ages and addresses in the ten-minute hearing.

Darren Eavesham, 47, Ieuan Harley, 23, and David Osbourne, 51, all from the New Tredegar area, were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Newport Crown Court on 13 August.
