Woman airlifted to hospital after collision with bus in Swansea

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after a collision with a bus on a busy Swansea road.

Oystermouth Road is currently closed after the incident which involved a bus travelling from the Tesco supermarket to the Leisure Centre, LC2.

South Wales Police said the woman has suffered serious head injuries.

The woman has been taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

Emergency services are at the scene as the road remains closed in both directions for recovery and investigation.

We are at the scene of a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus on Oystermouth Road, Swansea. The female pedestrian has suffered serious injuries and will be airlifted to the University Hospital of Wales. The road is currently closed in both directions to allow the air ambulance to land. The westbound carriageway is expected to remain closed for several hours to allow investigations to continue.
