Gale-force winds and heavy rain brought flooding to parts of Wales causing major travel disruptions, submerging homes and cutting off power to thousands of properties.

In Pembrokeshire, some homes were reportedly under up to 10ft of water and properties were evacuated as more than an inches of rain fell during the day.

Western Power Distribution said more than 1,000 homes were left without power on Friday evening but supply has been restored to most properties.

A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued for much of west Wales and will remain in place until Sunday morning.
