The Met Office has issued a yellow 'be aware' weather of ice across Wales this evening as temperatures will fall away overnight.

The weather warning is in place across the country from 10pm this evening to 11am Thursday morning.

Icy patches are expected to develop and wintry showers will also affect some areas, particularly over the hills and mountains, however, most places will not see any snow setting.

The Met Office is warning people to take extra care whilst travelling overnight and tomorrow morning as there will be an increased risk of slips and falls on the icy surfaces, particularly on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.

So far, winter in the UK has been milder than average, however, this is all set to change as temperatures will drop over the next few days as we welcome in some colder air.
