Wales Weather: A wintry day with snow over the hills!

Today: Early showers becoming confined to the far west during the morning. Otherwise, cold with plenty of sunshine, although the sunshine tending to turn a little hazy into the afternoon. Windy at first, though the winds easing from the west later. Maximum temperature 6 °C.

Tonight: Largely dry with often clear skies, especially in the east. Turning cloudy in the west later, with rain, sleet and perhaps hill snow arriving in the far west towards dawn. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

Friday: Bright skies in the east at first but the cloud will thicken from the west as a band of rain, sleet and hill snow spreads eastwards during the day. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Overnight frosts. Cold with outbreaks of rain, sleet and hill snow at times over the weekend. Some sunshine too, however, turning cloudy for most on Monday.
