Parents protest against Conwy school cuts

Parents and children gathered in Conwy today to protest against budget cuts for schools in the area.

The budget has been cut by more than 3% as the council deals with a £15m funding shortfall.

Secondary school headteachers in the area wrote a joint letter warning parents of the impact budget cuts would have.

They say cuts mean some key staff will lose their jobs, class sizes may have to increase and plane buildings fall into disrepair.

Conwy County Borough Council say they have been listening to parent's concerns and any extra funding they might be given for school pay pressures would be passed straight through to support budgets.
