Tributes have been paid to a "one in a million" teacher from Cardiff whose body was found after she went missing earlier this month.

43-year-old Elin Boyle was last seen leaving her home address on 12 March. Her body was found at Nash Point in the Vale of Glamorgan five days later.

Mrs Boyle's family said she had been battling with a "cruel mental health illness" for more than 25 years.

We cannot begin to describe how painful it is to have your loved one taken from you by this cruel mental health illness which Elin had to battle with for over 25 years.

We would like to thank South Wales Police and the Coastguard rescue teams for all their help and support during the search for Elin not just this time but also on previous occasions and to Staff and Pupils at Ysgol Plasmawr for their constant support to us as a family.

"Our only consolation is that she is now at peace."
