RSPCA appeals for owner of goldfish stolen from a pond by a cat

The RSPCA is appealing for the owner of a goldfish after it was taken from a pond in Barry and found at a cat's owner's home in Pontypridd Road.

The fish - which is around four to six inches long - was discovered on the 24th March.

Luckily it had not been injured, and was placed into a container with water before the RSPCA were called out.

This is definitely an unusual call to have. This cat has caught this fish out of someone’s pond and then taken him home to the owner’s surprise. The fish is fine and has now been taken to an aquatics centre while we make enquiries.

If anyone is missing a goldfish from their pond in the Pontypridd Road area in Barry, please let us know as this could be your fish. We’d like to be able to get it back to you!
