Woman's stolen purse returned ten years later by a mystery good samaritan

Ten years ago, Becca Milsom, who was a student at Glamorgan University had her purse stolen after her car was broken into.

She reported it to the police but nothing came of it and she expected never to see her purse again.

But now, a decade later, the contents of that purse have been posted back to her.

Becca's cards were a bit muddy and out of date

This week, a mystery good samaritan called George found her cards and posted them back to her father's address.

"I couldn't believe it when I saw them," Becca said. "At first I couldn't work out where these cards were from, until I saw my old NUS card and National Insurance Card.

"The cards all seemed muddy, but they were all there, including my old cancelled bank cards and driving licence."

The cards came with a note from George.

I hope this finds you well, I came across your wallet whilst supervising vegetation clearance on a site North of Llwyn Y Pia Road in Lisvane.

I think your Tesco Clubcard points may have expired, along with your uni discounts, but hopefully the drivers' licence and NI card come in handy again.

Becca said: "This makes you think there are good people in the world, I am so lucky to get them back, I'm just worried my luck is soon going to run out."

She said she would really like to find George.

"I'd like to thank him," she said. "I'd also like to know exactly where he found it, so I can see how all my cards managed to go unfound all this time."
