A murder investigation has been launched after a man died following a reported stabbing in the Cathays area of Cardiff.
Officers were called to a lane adjacent to the railway line which links Park Place to Corbett Road at around 12:30am on Sunday morning.
The man was taken to hospital where he later died from his injuries.
In a statement South Wales Police said officers has been called "following reports that a man had been stabbed".
Two men, aged 18 and 19, both from Cardiff, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.
Police added the victim is believed to be a local man who is not a student at the university. His family are being supported by specially trained officers.
Police have now confirmed road closures, bus redirections, and the closure of Cathays Railway Station is in relation to the murder investigation, not an incident at the nearby Darul Isra Muslim Community Centre.
South Wales Police said: "At this stage there is nothing linking this incident with one that occurred nearby outside the Darul Isra Muslim Community Centre".
