One boy has "serious injuries" after being hit by a car in Merthyr Tydfil.
He is one of two boys, aged 12 and 10, who have been taken to hospital after an Audi left the road and "collided with a number of youths" on Heol Scwrfa in the Gellideg Estate.
South Wales Police said one of these young people has "sustained serious injuries" and is being treated at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
The crash happened just before 7pm last night and Air Ambulance were called to the estate.
Local Councillor Geraint Thomas says the crash has shocked the community: "It's such a quiet area, especially the street we're in, I've never known an incident like it with a car. There's families who have been living here for decades, everybody knows each other, everybody's friend and my thoughts are with everyone, the family and the community.
The car collided into a wall after mounting the curb and hitting a group of young people.
Police are investigating the incident and said the Audi driver is assisting them. Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage is urged to contact the police.
