21-year-old man stabbed to death in Cardiff city centre named as Asim Khan
A man who died following a stabbing in Cardiff has been named.
21-year-old Asim Khan died following an incident in St Mary's Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police said the incident happened following a disturbance outside the McDonald's restaurant in the city centre.
Mr Khan, who is from Grangetown, was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff but died from his injuries.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Tributes have been paid to Mr Khan from the community in Grangetown.
Local councillor Ash Lister described him as a ''genuinely lovely young man.''
Community worker Ali Abdi said Mr Khan was well known in the area.
South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses who may have seen a suspect running away from the scene.
