Former Wales international Jamie Roberts has praised flanker Aaron Wainwright's skill on the pitch.

He said the 22-year-old could be a future captain of Wales.

His prediction comes after Wales took on France in the Rugby World Cup quarter final in the Japanese city of Oita.

It was a tense game for Wales but Wainwright scored a try in the twelfth minute.

He was later awarded Man of the Match.

You could argue we're looking at a future Wales captain. When you look at the next World Cup cycle, where he is in the team already, he's undroppable at the minute...

Make him captain, give him that responsibility... He is a young lad with a huge future.

Former Wales captain Sam Warburton agreed Wainwright would be a good candidate.

You're right...

Hearing you say that, that's quite a good, obvious candidate really. One which I actually didn't think of but I actually think he would have the qualities to do it.
