Over 250 Santas ran, jogged, walked and slid their way around either a 2k, 5k or 10k course in Llandrindod Wells on the 1st of December.

The 'Muddy Santa' fun run was organised by the Llandrindod Wells Fire Station to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity.

The fire station said: “all age groups had fantastic representation and it was a joy to see everyone in their Santa suits.”

Firefighter Ian Morgan came up with the idea whilst running the muddy route in the summer. He thought it would make an ideal route for a muddy Santa fun run.

Participants also raised money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Alzheimer’s Society.

The race started and finished at Llandrindod Wells Fire Station. They are hoping for the Muddy Santa run to return in 2020.
