Teenager in hospital after stabbing on Cardiff estate as police investigate assault

A 17-year-old boy is in hospital after a stabbing on the Ael Y Bryn estate in Llanedeyrn in Cardiff. South Wales Police says his injuries are not life threatening.

A large area of the estate in Cardiff has been cordoned off as police investigate the assault.

Officers were called to the scene at around 11pm on Sunday 19 January. No arrests have been made and police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances of the incident and are carrying out extensive enquiries in the area to identify and arrest those responsible.
