Snow and ice forecast to hit many parts of Wales

Snow is forecast to hit many parts of Wales over the coming days, with the Met Office warning the wintry spells and icy conditions could cause travel disruption.

A yellow warning for snow and ice is in force from 22:00 on Wednesday until 10:00 on Thursday in Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Powys and Wrexham.

An additional yellow warning for snow is also in force from midnight until 12:00 Thursday for parts of south Wales including Blaenau Gwent, Merthyr Tydfil and Monmouthshire.

The Met Office says the snow, sleet and ice are likely to affect some roads and railways and could result in longer journey times.
