Your Wales Weather Team
Ruth Dodsworth
Ruth is one of Wales' best known faces, having been on your screens for almost 25 years! An award-winning journalist, Ruth began her career as a newsroom reporter and quickly went on to present a whole host of programmes for ITV Wales. A switch to weather came in 2000, allowing Ruth to expand her interest in meteorology and climate change. Ruth is also able to indulge her love of the great outdoors as the presenter of Coast and Country.
"I can honestly say that I have the best job in the world. I get to live and work in the most beautiful country, and I get to meet the people that make Wales the most wonderful place."
Ruth is a proud Ambassador for Cancer Research Wales, and a Patron of the Domestic Abuse charity Hafan Cymru, charities which are very close to her heart.
Ruth lives in South Wales with her new husband, a proud North Walian and Wrexham football super fan. Ruth is a super-proud mum to two teenagers and a stubborn Yorkshire Terrier.
