Man charged with rape after alleged sex attack near Swansea Grand Theatre

A man has been charged with rape following an alleged sex attack near Swansea's Grand Theatre.
South Wales Police issued an appeal for information following what they initially described as "an assault" shortly after 10pm on Thursday, November 11.
A large police presence could be seen outside the theatre the following day and an area was cordoned off as investigations were carried out.
Officers have now confirmed a charge has been made.
In a statement, police said: "Following reports of an assault on a woman near the Grand Theatre, Swansea ,on Thursday, November 11, a 36-year-old man has been charged."
The man, who police said is from Enfield in north London, has been charged with rape and is in police custody.
He is expected to appear at Swansea Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
