Plaid Cymru's Health Spokesperson Elin Jones has welcomed the decision by members of the Assembly's Health committee to call the minister Lesley Griffiths. They'll question her next week about claims a crucial report was influenced by officials.
I’m grateful to my fellow members of the Health Committee for agreeing to my request to call the Minister to the Committee. When I questioned the Minister on Tuesday she failed to justify the independence of the report, and is it important that we investigate this further. I have always believed that the Committee is the correct forum for us to fully scrutinise the Minister and this is what should now happen.
I have been focussed on giving the Health Minister another opportunity to demonstrate that she is someone we can trust to run the Welsh NHS. The Minister will now get that opportunity next week
