The Guide Dog Association is calling for more to be done to promote responsible dog ownership and deter attacks on guide dogs by other dogs.
According to the charity there were 240 dog attacks on guide dogs across the uK between March 2011 and February 2012, 18 of those in Wales.
Today MPs will debate dog control in the Anti Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Bill. if passed, the bill would make an attack on an assistance dog in England and Wales an aggravated offence.
