Body discovered in Cardiff in search for missing man

Police searching for missing Cardiff man Ashley Wells say they have found a body in the River Taff, near Hailey Park.

The body has not been formally identified, but South Wales Police said Mr Wells' family members are being kept updated following the discovery.

South Wales Police can confirm that a body has this afternoon been found in the River Taff, near Hailey Park, Cardiff.

Officers were called to the area just after 2pm. Formal identification has not taken place.

The family of missing man Ashley Wells, aged 26, from Gabalfa, Cardiff, are being kept updated by family liaison officers.
