Two men have been jailed after admitting a robbery at the home of a 70-year-old man in the St Mellons area of Cardiff.

It happened at Lanhydrock Close in April last year, whilst the elderly owner was in bed.

23-year-old Marcus Williams and 22-year-old Alex Way pleaded guilty to the offence and were sentenced to five years and four months, and four years and ten months respectively.

The males woke the victim up by shouting and demanded he handed over money. They took £250 which was in a wallet on the victim's walking frame before making off from the address leaving the victim frightened and shocked.
