A former police detective has denied raping two women while he was serving with the South Wales force.
Ex-South Wales Police constable Jeffrey Davies, 43, pleaded not guilty to raping the two women when he appeared before magistrates today.
Cardiff Magistrates heard Davies, of Pinecroft Avenue, Aberdare, allegedly committed the two rapes between January 2002 and April 2003.
Magistrate Sarah Edwards told Davies he would next appear at Cardiff Crown Court on December 7th, with his trial likely to take place in the summer of 2016.
Davies was released on conditional bail.
