The animals were discovered after their cries were heard near the Harbour Masters Office in Porthmadog in Gwynedd on Sunday.

The kittens are about seven to eight weeks-old and are in good health.

They have now been taken into our care and are doing well despite their awful ordeal.

It is just shocking what has happened. These kittens must have been so frightened when they were left in this bin and in a tied plastic bag.

We’re investigating this incident and we urge anyone with any information to contact us.
