Cardiff Airport has announced growth for September.

It says the rolling total number of passengers flying from Cardiff (from October 2015- September 2016) now stands at 1,352,045, (+27%). It says that is 16 consecutive months of growth.

Flybe’s Cardiff to London City route, launched due to the temporary closure of Wales’ Severn Tunnel, is a contributing factor to the increase.

We’ve experienced strong performance from our airlines with a mix of customers choosing both business and leisure destinations. September is an important month for us as the summer holidays come to an end and people are getting back to business
