SP Energy Networks has been working across the day to respond to a high number of weather related incidents across North and Mid Wales due wind gusts of up to 94mph caused by Storm Doris.

In total since Thursday we have had around 80,000 customers impacted by the high winds.

Currently around 800 homes are without power in North Wales, with the majority in Anglesey.

Engineers will continue to work into the night to fix faults, but is anticipated that a small number of homes in North Wales will remain off power overnight.

Customers can call our Emergency Number on 0800 001 5400, or the new national number 105.

The storm force winds caused as many faults in three hours as SP Energy Networks would normally see in three months.

The biggest issue affecting the electricity network has been uprooted trees and other debris blown on to overhead power lines, which has caused damage and brought down the power lines in some areas.
