Detectives investigating the suspicious death of woman in Flint on Saturday 1st July have released ‘under investigation’ a local man who had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
At 2.50am on Saturday 1st July North Wales Police and Welsh Ambulance were called to a residential address in Windsor Avenue Flint after the discovery of a woman’s body.
The woman, local and aged in her 40s, had died but the circumstances under which she was found led to the arrest of a 50 year old local man at the scene on suspicion of her murder.
Senior Investigating Officer DCI Arwyn Jones at Wrexham CID said ‘“Following a post mortem examination we have significant concerns about the injuries found and an investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances.
Detectives are speaking with neighbours and others in the local community but we are very keen to hear from anyone who was in the Windsor Drive area of Flint between the evening of Friday 30th June and the early hours of Saturday morning.
