Severe weather warning for south and mid Wales coast

The Met Office says a spell of very strong westerly winds is likely during Monday morning, probably peaking around or just before the busy travel period.

Some delays to travel are likely, with some journeys taking longer than usual. Delays are likely for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.

Some short term loss of power is also possible. The worst of the winds should gradually ease later in the morning, although some strong gusts may persist into the afternoon.
