We are just hours away from finding out who will be the next Bristol Mayor. Results are due to be announced between 4pm and 6pm.

In the first round of votes Labour's Marvin Rees was 24,000 votes ahead of George Ferguson. There was a total of 142,000 votes.

Yesterday George Ferguson appeared to be conceding defeat to Labour's Marvin Rees. He posted on Twitter thanking his campaign team and said "without big party resources they had done their best for Bristol"

He also tweeted that he may get his life back and thanked everyone who voted.
