Hundreds of people are expected to join celebrations in Wiltshire as paralympian swimmer Stephanie Millward is awarded the Honorary Freedom of the Parish of Corsham. Stephanie won four silvers and a bronze at London 2012 - the highest medals tally of any Team GB athlete.

Stephanie attended The Corsham School and was a member of Corsham Swimming Club. Now aged 31, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 17.

This morning's celebrations begin with a parade from The Methuen Arms in Corsham at 11am. Children from seven local schools and members of Corsham Swimming Club will accompany Stephanie on a walk down the High Street to the Town Hall, where the Corsham Town Band will be playing.

The children will perform an opening ceremony before the formal handing over at noon of the Freedom of the Parish. Town council chairman Cllr Peter Anstey will make the presentation ahead of a civic reception in the Town Hall.
