A303 upgrade plan delays

Two West Country MPs have urged the government to speed up work on improving the A303.

The road, which connects to the A30, is an important link from London to the South West - but serious bottlenecks can build up on single-carriageway sections past Stonehenge and through the Blackdown Hills.

The government has commissioned a feasbility study into ways of upgrading the road - but today the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander, said it wouldn't be ready for another year.
