Focus on CLIC Sargent

Wiltshire 10 year old Abby and her family received support from the children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent.

Now all this week we'll be telling you about ITVs Text Santa campaign and where the money that you donate goes. One of the six charities is CLIC Sargent. CLIC stands for Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood. The charity helps families through the trauma of diagnosis and treatment.

A 10 year old girl from Wiltshire amazed doctors with the speed of her recovery after surgery for bone cancer. Abby Fishlock-Whitelaw needed three operations to replace her thigh and knee, and underwent months of chemotherapy.
