Families are calling for accessible toilets that meet the needs of all disabled people to be placed in all public areas.

Thousands of disabled children and adults in the West Country have to be changed on dirty toilet floors because of a lack of appropriate toilet facilities in public areas.

They can't use standard accessible toilets because the rooms and changing tables are too small for them and their carers.

10 year old Celyn Williams has Quadraplegic Cerebral Palsy. She can't sit up, walk or talk but she has the mind of any other 10 year old. Her parents say she's too heavy to be changed on a baby changing table so if they go out for the day she has to be changed on a dirty floor.

Celyn's family, among others want more disabled facilities known as 'Changing Places' in Britain's public areas. They have more space, an adult-sized changing bench and a hoist.

There are only 48 changing places in the whole of the SW and the disability charity Mencap says at least 230,000 people in the UK need them.
