A six-foot high Nazi symbol has been painted onto the wall of an ancient Plymouth monument.

The giant swastika has been sprayed onto the wall of Plympton Castle in Plympton St Maurice.

Police say the attack happened at the weekend.

Specialist equipment has had to be used to remove the graffiti and a team from Plymouth City Council is still working at the scene to repair the damage.
