An app that could save lives: Hollie's family design help for abuse victims
The parents of a murdered young woman from Gloucester have designed a new safety app in her memory to try to prevent other incidents of domestic violence.
Hollie Gazzard was killed by her ex-boyfriend in February last year. Asher Maslin was laterjailed for her murder.
The app - named the Hollie Guard - works by sending an alert to a named emergency contact when the phone is shaken.
"The app is there to really help people be safe, keep safe and stay safe.
Backed by Gloucestershire Police, its other functions include GPS tracking and recording voice and video - for use in possible future court situations.
