The Environment Agency has issued two flood warnings for the South West and residents should take action to protect themselves

  • Lower Frome from Dorchester to East Stoke

Water levels in the lower River Frome from Dorchester to East Stoke are rising in response to recent rainfall. Further showery, occasionally heavy rain is forecast over the next 24 hours. This rain falling onto a saturated catchment is likely to cause further rises.

  • Washford River, riverside properties from Kingsbridge to Lower Roadwater

Further showers are forecast throughout Monday. The catchments remain saturated and the rivers may respond to the rainfall.

The river level on the Washford River will remain high but stable during Monday although levels may rise with the forecast rainfall
