Tom Daley and Dan Goodfellow booked their place at the 2016 Olympics after combining for a bronze medal at the Diving World Cup in Rio on Sunday.

The pair finished in third place in the men's 10m synchro event, after fellow Plymouth divers Sarah Barrow and Tonia Couch qualified for the women's event.

It was a promising international debut for Daley and Goodfellow, who had first competed together in the National Cup in Southend last month.

Daley has been looking for a new permanent synchro partner since splitting with Peter Waterfield, with whom he finished fourth place at London 2012.

Their bronze medal marks their first international medal as a synchro pair.

Lots of fans have take to Twitter to congratulate them on the achievement.
