Cheltenham Festival: Round-up of day two

It's the second day of the Cheltenham Festival 2016, which can only mean one thing - it's Ladies Day. >In total a 250,000 racegoers are expected to visit Gloucestershire during the four days of action - bringing over £100 million to the local economy.>Here are some of the highlights from the day.

The second day of the Festival always has an added air of excitement to it as it is of course ladies day who bring plenty of colour to the course.

WINNERS

We had a Gloucestershire winner earlier in the day when Black Lion trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies won the 2:10 race.

Then shortly afterwards, his son Sam rode the Paul Nicholls trained horse Diego du Charmil to victory in the 4:50.

There was also another win for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh - that's their fourth of the Festival. >Willie Mullins currently holds the record of 8 winners over the four days so is well on course with two days remaining.
