The RSPCA are trying to track down the owners of a Staffordshire bull terrier who was found cowering under a park bush in Keynsham.
The dog was so badly neglected and in such a poor condition that the vet decided to put him down. A passer-by made the discovery on Wednesday in in Downside Park.
When the terrier was examined at RSPCA’s Bristol clinic, the vet explained his back legs were collapsed and he was unable to stand:
