Junior doctors in the West have begun the second day of an all-out strike over new contract proposals.
For the first time junior doctors are walking out of emergency care including maternity wards, emergency surgery and A&E departments.
The strike begun at 8am and will finish at 5pm.
Consultants and nursing staff will cover the loss of junior doctor labour for the second day in a row.
More than 4000 appointments and operations were postponed yesterday in the West as junior doctors walked out for the fifth time this year.
