Two men have been killed and several other people injured in a five vehicle pile-up on the M5 southbound in Gloucestershire.
The crash happened between junction 8 for the M50 and junction 9 for Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, just after 1am today, Thursday 2 June.
The two men were pronounced dead at the scene and a third was taken to hospital in a critical condition. A fourth man was treated at the scene for back and leg injuries before being taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
Four patients from other cars were treated by paramedics.
The motorway has re-opened after being closed for more than 10 hours while investigations took place and the vehicles removed.
