Bristol City sign Chelsea rising star Tammy Abraham

Bristol City have completed the season-long loan signing of Chelsea and England Under-19 international striker Tammy Abraham.

The 18-year- old has agreed terms on the deal, which sees him go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s season opener with Wigan Athletic at Ashton Gate.

Abraham has twice played for Chelsea’s first team.

Tammy is a top class player who I believe has a very bright future in the game.

We’re delighted that all of the club’s hard work has paid off. He’s one we’ve been chasing for a long time and we’ve remained patient to get this deal over the line in time for the new season.

Londoner Abraham joined Chelsea’s Academy at the age of eight, progressing through the ranks to play a key role in the club’s UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup successes in 2015 and 2016.

He was promoted to the first team set up after scoring 74 goals in 98 matches.
