The pledge by Theresa May has pledged to tackle the problems with our transport links here in the South West - on her first visit to Cornwall since becoming Prime Minister.

She's been visiting Newquay Airport to guarantee direct plane flights to Heathrow when a third runway is built - but said road and rail improvements were also essential to the economic success of our region.

Much of the Prime Minister's visit was about trying to reassure the West that she understands the frustration with the region's transport infrastructure.

She mentioned she was confident in rebuilding the lines at Dawlish and upgrading the A30 and A303 in Cornwall.
